go for the volkl expressions, go to www.volkl.com, the v-expression ski is part of the v-series, and last years dimensions are the same. Volkl skis use hand made wood core construction, they are prime and nearly indestructable.

I have fatty powder skis, and I have them mounted 2cm forward of 'half the chord length', the chord length = tip to tail, straight line. If you mount fat skis and the designated spot or farther back, you just sit abck, but for more aggresive skiing, mount them a bit forward.

Make fun of the west coast all you guys want, whistler got 40cm new yesterday, not bad! At least we actually have mountains, with rocky peaks, and endless backcountry, I don't think the east coast hills are all that huge. The coast mountains rock, there is so much terrain out here it is...
