Raining all the way to the top of Loon for most of the day today, with spring-like snow/base conditions. I imagine things were pretty similar at Waterville, conditions-wise.

Looks warmish and cloudy with very little precip on Saturday, mix of snow and rain on Sunday, and cooler temps with a higher chance of snow on Monday. Just the ticket for getting that ice nice and bulletproof.

How bad are the crowds at Loon during the peak holliday season? I was there on Sunday Monday and for most of the day on Sunday there were lines 10-15 deep for some of the features. I'd like to head up there again either Saturday, Sunday, or Monday - but am wondering if it'll be worth the drive...

Loon has two smallish jumps up high, two boxes, one A-frame rail, one A-frame box, and one hand-rail up as-of today. Nothing is ski-on.

They used to have a mini-pipe and a couple of small hits on the run below the Quicksilver chair, about midway down on the skiers left. Wouldn't be missed by anyone if its gone.

Many thanks for the input. As I am a relic from the daffy-era, I'm not sure what a revert 180 is. Is that a 180 where you wait until after the take-off to initiate your rotation? If so - sounds like it could work as a way to build up to a 5.

I'm sure it's been covered but search is down so I'll pop the question here. Basically - I'm just curious about how those of who you hit 540's worked your way up to that stage - and if you think a 5 with a switch take-off or a switch landing is easier to hit. I'm comfortable with regular 3's...

Thanks again for all of the info. Looks like it will be Loon/Waterville with the Threedom Pass for the Terrain Parks, and flights back to the West for terrain.
