you can straight line in the moguls and make it look like your turning, its an artform but its the only way!!!

dude, hate to break it to you but there is no carving in the moguls. However you are right in that you cant just wish wash down them. Its all about that forward pressure in the boot, straight running it and making it look like you making them turns.
