    Flexing my skis and boots

man my full tilts killed when i first had them, but i shell fitted them to a one finger spacing. it took them 2 weeks to pack out, and then heat molding, but now they are mint, and i get absolutely no pain. but for those first two weeks they killed. that's the beauty of boot fitting though...

    Full tilt booter...too soft?

dude i skied non stop back country with konflicts last year and 4 (booter stiff) tongues. They worked great. If you have really stiff skis, bump up a tongue, other wise just ski them. and as for park they'll be fine.

    Tecnica agent boot specs?

dude the dragon 100s are sick. they are a little more free ride than park, but they are still a milder flex. and at a 100 last, they shouldbe plenty comfy. the agent 95s are a bit woder, but it's almost the same flex. just get the dragons. unless you ski all park.

Fischer x17, head mojo15's, and griffons.

the head and the fischer are identical except for the din range. I've been using fischer x 17's for three years now and never had a knee injury. i used to tweak my knees alot with salomons and markers, becuase i had to run the dins higher. with the fischers, i can run a lower din, which is...

    Pieps Freeride?

I'm interested in beacons too. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to get the ones we can get from back country access, just because there simplicity. I'm pretty sure the easier it is to use one the better, but power and stuff also has to be an issue. are you coming to montana this winter again?

    Teachers Knowing When Your Stoned

i don't smoke, but i'm no stranger to having a couple of beers, or a sparks or two before class. I notice that with a little buzz going, time goes by waaay faster, and i'm usually more attentive, because time is going by smoothly and i'm not staring at the clock. Granted I'm 21 and can't get...

Skinning on rockered and reverse sidecut skis

i talked to my armada rep, because i wanted to know if this years were good for skinning. he went and did a ton of research on everyone who has them and came back and said the overwhelming consensus is that they are good for skinning. not perfect, but pretty damn good. I'm going to get some...

Help!! Need bike derailleur cage!! (++karma)

it almost would, but I have never seen a spring loaded chain tensioner work for more than an hour or two on ahard tail. I've also ran just about every chain tensioner at some point, and they just aren't strong enough. they also work best with the chain ran as short as possible which leaves...

Help!! Need bike derailleur cage!! (++karma)

first of all andrew it's a full suspension, so you can't single speed it due to chain growth. the next issue then becomes what you can do about the cage. I've worked at bike shops for going on 7 years, and i even used to work at the one andrew^ works at. they don't sell just the cage for...

    Dumont 09 or wall 09

dude all edges are going to crack at some point. i've cracked edges on the first day and had skis for a season without them cracking. the edge armor is an improvement but if all you do is slay rails and do gnarly lipslides and disasters, you're going to wreck them at some point. it totally...

Did my ski shop mess these boots up?

dude, boots are way more important than skis. way more. if the boot doesn't handle how you want it. the ski won't too. You need to go get the perfect fit and go from there. but really boot fitting online takes months longer than at a good shop. if you don't have a good shop. fuck them...

    Old man needs ski suggestions

haha. thats funny dude. I just had a ton of people come into my shop today, and sat volkl was way lighter than they used to be. at the same time armadas also got lighter. volkls are waaay lighter while armada has always been medium light, they also got lighter this year. look at dimensions...

    Old man needs ski suggestions

contrary to the all out rail skiers belief the armada ar6 is super burly, solidly stiff, and fun all around. however, consider the arv in a 175 or 85. if you like bigger skis, go bigger it doesn't hurt a good skier in the slightest. but like i said, check the volkl walls. and the arv. both...

    Dumont 09 or wall 09

dude i work at a shop that doesn't sell line and i still love 'em. but like i said, if you go really big or spend a lot of time carving go salomon. if you're more of a middle of the road park skier go volkl. the volkl will still hod up on 60+ foot hits, but you gotta realize that they are...

    What Size Ar6?

be honest with yourself. if you're a pimp, go 181. if you're not go 176. if you have any doubts of going 181, go 176. they are a bit shorter but you're in that middle range between both skis. i'm 5 10, 160 and i rocked 176's for a bit and they were mad fun, but at the end of the day i...

    Old man needs ski suggestions

if you like volkl, go with the higher 170 sized volkl bridge. by far one of the most versatile skis on the market. also look into the rossi s5 s6 series. but i would stay at least above 170 if you are an expert level skier.
