it wasn't steele. steele was filming backcountry in crested butte until 2 days ago. before that he was at the gravity games and before that he was in japan. he's back in aspen now. he hasn't been in pc at all.

michael had one of those cochlear ear implants surgically placed and he can hear really well now. he's definitely nicer than his brother peter and not nearly so cocky. really talented too.

steele, simon, olenick, borownowski, etc. - all those guys skied in the semi's but didn't make it to the final round. steele's run looked good and technical, natural and unnatural 9's, 450's off rails, etc, but not what the judges were looking for.
