Help with describing a -2 mounting point on Scratch FS WRS to online store

Maybe you should have a little more faith in certain, reputable online stores - I know I do now, especially with the money back guarantee I got if anything didn't line up correctly with my order. The skis arrived perfectly mounted at -2 from true center and my boots fit without a problem. Just...

Anyone know of good deals on decent tuning kits?

I've been looking around Ebay for a worthwhile tuning kit, found one by Dakine, but an old post here didn't have much praise the quality of the tools. I know Swix was recommended a bunch of times. Just wondering if anyone's come across a good deal on a decent tuning kit. Some have irons, some...

    True Center = Tip-to-Tip/2 or Running Surface/2 ???

alright, if you're measuring tip to tip and getting 179, midpoint would be 89.5 If you measure the running length and divide by 2, where does that end up? Also, where are yours mounted now?

    True Center = Tip-to-Tip/2 or Running Surface/2 ???

Anyone with FS WRS's want to measure for me and let me know what the difference is? Tip to tip should be 181cm, so midpoint is 90.5cm If someone has them around, can you get the midpoint of the running surface and let me know if it's still 90.5 or if it moves backward/forward?

    True Center = Tip-to-Tip/2 or Running Surface/2 ???

I understand that "core" and "true" are different, but I don't think that the center of core is necessarily the same as the center of the running surface.

    True Center = Tip-to-Tip/2 or Running Surface/2 ???

So I'm getting my scratch fs wrs's mounted -2cm from center and want to clear something up... I just read a thread - and I can't find it - that said if you're measuring based on the true center point, you need to measure the ski's running surface and divide that in half. More people agreed...

Www.aspenskiandboard.com, just recommending a great store...

Yea, that was the same comment left in the older thread I linked to. I mentioned to them that they should definately look into updating their site's appearance/navigation - as first impression counts a lot when someone's looking to buy something expensive, like skis, online. I figured, for...

Www.aspenskiandboard.com, just recommending a great store...

Just a heads up on another great online shop for prices and customer service. I've been searching around for the Scratch FS WRS for the last couple of weeks and wasn't able to find them below $350 (in 181's) on any of the sites that are usually recommended here (Evogear sold out a couple months...

Help with describing a -2 mounting point on Scratch FS WRS to online store

alright, assuming it's the dumbest decision in the world to have them mount it - doesn't matter to me...only thing that matters is if someone knows how far forward -2 from center is from the modern line.

Help with describing a -2 mounting point on Scratch FS WRS to online store

oh, and also - they haven't asked me "what is true center" or anything - so there's a chance they have a clue what they are doing - I'm just trying to prepare for the worst.

Help with describing a -2 mounting point on Scratch FS WRS to online store

The reason I'm doing this is because they'll mount and tune them for free...This would save me about $40...which I think is well worth any type of risk. Any Rossi skiers out there that can help?

This guy right? "center is 7+ from the modern line, 9+ from the standard line."

Help with describing a -2 mounting point on Scratch FS WRS to online store

I'm ordering my skis online in a few minutes and I need to describe to the store what -2 from true center means. (I've already searched) I'm sure they understand how to find the exact middle of the ski and measure back 2cm for a mounting point, but I've heard too many stories of people getting...

Good ski stores in Toronto??? (Port Credit, Ontario)

I'll be in Port Credit, Ontario (20 minutes outside of Toronto) this weekend, and was wondering if there's any good stores to check out there? I'm looking for 06/07 181 Scratch FS WRS or Mojo 80's... I've been told that skis are more expensive in Canada - so this may just be a waste of...
