    Snowbowl--

I live in Phoenix and ride Snowbowl and Sunrise when I am not in Oregon (I have a Fusion pass and fly up there a couple of times a month in the winter). Here is the real deal - The snow in Arizona is fucking awesome - when it is there. It is super light and dry. Problem is, there is not very...

    Really warm gloves

How much is too much to spend? You can get Hestra Heli-Guide gloves for about US$100. If you have seen the Discovery Channel show "Everest, Beyond the Limit", you can see that most of the clients, guides and Sherpas are wearing those gloves. If they are burely enough to wear on the summit of...

    Timby Thunder Park

Not bad - Hopefully it will have recovered by the time I get there next weekend. Or, even better, they have a park up on Norman.

    Relics of newschool skiing

I bought a single used Line Reactor (to replace a broken one, naturally) on ebay from a guy in Portland that swears it was Pollard's - There is writing on it that says "Eric +1". I think a Reactor used by Pollard would qualify as a relic of newschool skiing.

    Pollard on Marker?

Well technically, yes - Jardin (NYSE:JAH - cool ticker symbol) acquired the formerly public entity K2 Sports in August 2007. The K2 Sports website lists Line (among other companies) among the subsidiaries.

    WTB: Park-Only Skis

Do you like soft or stiff skis? I just started riding park last season (after 20 years on skis) and I ride the Invaders. They are really soft, but that is nice for buttering and jibbing stuff. The symmetrical sidecut and center mounting makes spinning and riding switch very easy. They...

    Icelantic skis?

They are short so they are maneuverable like snowshoes when you are skinning or traversing

Line Invaders? Are they worh bothering with?

I have 06/07 Invaders and I like them very much. The only performance issue I have is with the soft tails - you need to stomp big airs as it is pretty easy to wash out if you get a bit backseat. Apart from that, I love them in the pipe, in the air and on rails. They are a great value in a...

What to start with...help for a freeskiing newbie

I can totally relate - I have been skiing for more than 20 years and just started riding park last season. Here are some tips from an older newschooler: When you are first hitting jumps, remember to actively pop off the lip. Simply riding over a jump with some kick will put you in the back...

FS: Sessions Zume Softshell / Black & White Stripes

I have a couple of these Sessions softshell hoodies and they are sick. Very breathable and water resistant. I am 6'1" 175 lbs and the L fits me well in street clothes and the XL fits great with my crash pads under it. The seller is being totally honest with the pricing and such - it was...
