Again, I wasn't saying that you're choices were exactly the same. And I certainly wasn't criticizing your list. (My own list is pretty similar, except that I included one parkish skinny ski because Feb has been icy crap at Aly.) But they are more alike than other's lists, no? It's like...

    Jamie pierre on libtech

I'd agree. I think he's a better big mountain skier than anyone on this forum (for example, he's coaching at the Alta Straightline Camp this weekend), but I don't think he's up to par with guys like Morrison, Nobis, McCintosh (sp.?), etc.

It was High Life. (Watched it this weekend.) I kinda like the dude. It's always amusing to have somebody who makes up for his lack of skiing skill (compared to other pro big mountain riders) with ballsy-ass hucks (even if he sometimes lands on his head).

They make good skis and I liked my past models (00 X-Scream and 95 Force9), but their current stuff seems a little too soft and flexy for me.

Ever bring your girlfriend, or sombody who isn't that good skiing?

Somebody who not only laughs out loud at his own lame jokes but also types the sound of his laughter for your benefit.

Ever bring your girlfriend, or sombody who isn't that good skiing?

I've done it. It sucks. I usually do a few runs with her and then arrange to meet for lunch. I guess that makes me kind of a dick. Anyhow, much better to have her bring a friend, so they can ski together.

I'm not saying the exactly alike, but they're all big-mountain powder chargers. Whereas almost everybody else picked a park, an all-mountain, and a pow ski. Of course, I'm not criticizing. AKFreeride seems to do a lot of backcountry, so he could use them.

    Red bull or monster?

Red Bull 'cause it fits in my pocket. But I prefer MDX to Red Bull.

    Whats the best free meal?

A Snicker's energy bar and a can of Red Bull in each pocket do the trick.

A wee bit of overlap there, but I think you're trying to say that you hate skiing powder, no?

Since all there is are negative posts about Patrol, here's a positive one

Most of the patrol I've met have been extremely cool. At least at the better resorts, it's a job that attracts chill people who love to ski. And a number of them have twin tips at my local. This isn't to say that some people on this board haven't been totally fucked over by the ski patrol at...

    STOP THE FLAIR

Spins only is a little repetative. They need some kind of flip trick to mix it up, and flares fit the bill. Besides, at least when Candide is doing them, they look amazing.

    Skiing Japan...Need help

I'd agree with that. Hokkaido probably has the best skiing (Niseko, etc.), but it's also very far away and isolated from the rest of Japan. So I'd probably recommend the Japanese Alps area--Hakuba and what not. The skiing there is still good and it's really convenient. Its only a couple...

    Skiing Japan...Need help

Yeah, I knew it was sometime in the spring. I have skiied in Japan in May though. (Zao in Iwate-ken often has a decent park set up at that time.)

    Skiing Japan...Need help

Their winter is the same as ours. So February and March are usually the best. Just make sure that your vacation doesn't overlap with their "Golden Week," when everybody takes their vacation and the resorts get real crowded. Also, while the cultural experience is awesome, the skiing in Japan...

Most boring/shitty movie segment youve ever seen

"I'll do a screamin' seaman upssiiiddedowwnnn." I might add the entirety of Starskis & Hucks to the list.

Most boring/shitty movie segment youve ever seen

I can't claim to be a big fan of Tanner, but I gotta say that his High Society segment impressed me. He completely outjumped and outtricked Evan Raps and Mike Douglas off that hip. So I'd say his Finland urban segment in Show & Prove. I just get bored watching urban hits. McConkey's "Saucer...

    Alaska or Mammoth?

If Sean White thinks Mammoth blows, he's as dumb as his hair looks. Mammoth has steeps (better than Breck), pow (more than Breck), sun (300 days, probably more than Breck), size (3500 acres, bigger than Breck), and is world renowned for its parks (70 acres vs. Breck's 25). I'm not saying that...

    Fantasy Three-ski Quiver

Regardless of what you currently own, if you could have any three skis, what would they be? (1) Karma (185 cm) for park, ice and bumps (2) Prophet 100 (186 cm) for backcountry, pow, technical lines, and general all-mountain skiing. (3) ProRider XXL (194 cm) for hard charging and big hucks...
