Any reviews/experience with this helmet cam? I'm thinking of getting the ATC2K: http://www.fadfusion.com/selection.php?product_item_number=20102000027
Any other advice is also appreciated . . . .
Yeah. That's a common criticism of the spats, ARGs, and other rockered pow skis: they're slow as hell out of the pow because they have less surface area on the snow. I'm guessing this will mean easily dingable race bases to make up for it.
Has anybody used Oregon Scientific's ATC2K helmet cam? Reviews?
I'm looking for something basic and cheap for big mountain and tree skiing. A helmet cam that'll post decent Youtube video will do. The ATC2K is only $80 (plus another ~$60 for a 2gig card).
Advice on any other helmet cams is...
Yeah, the Chair 6 side might be 55+ degrees. Everytime I hiked up, I considered it, but 25 minutes of bootpacking for 500' vertical ending in a flatish bowl just didn't seem worth it.
It's supposed to start snowing tomorrow.
I like weed. And I like skiing. But I don't like skiing high. Things just feel off and I'm not as coordinated. Plus, I like the adrenalin of being sober. Ditto for drinking.
(1) Falling in the lift line or while getting on a lift. I'd say one or the other happens every year.
(2) Somehow eating shit on a simple 180 and getting hit the face with my ski. Total freak accident. But I had broken teeth and a hole under my lip, so I was bleeding all over myself. Add...
Having graduated from UCLA, I won't say that going to a good college is great for skiing, but I had a fucking good time. As long as you don't totally shackle yourself with debt, it's worth it.
Can't say the same about law school though.
If you're only gonna use them for a week a year, go cheap. I'd snag some ANTs (191cm) at this place for $390: http://shop.sierrasnowboard.com/browse.cfm/2,193.html
Everybody I know who rides bid mountain loves them. That or pick up some used skis.
Well then, that's dedicated service and the OP should quit complaining.
BTW, I based that theory on the following blog post: http://www.dropknees.com/blog/2007/02/27/the-canyons-hosts-a-powder-day-on-feb-27/
BC.com is based out of Utah, which has been getting dumped on recently. The people who are supposed to be shipping your shit are probably taking halfdays to get freshies. Seriously.
(1) Don't be an asshole.
(2) I didn't the impression OP was bragging, nor would I really care if he was. It's still interesting.
(3) Maybe allcaps wasn't needed (not that it matters), but neither is (a) writing the expression "LOL" followed by three exclamation points; (b) your non-use of...
People seem to cohabitate fairly well at my current mountain.
But I've seen that kind of attitude before. People (a) laughing or mocking others when they eat shit (in an assholish way); or (b) who mock others when they do anything less than a cork-9. It's fucking weak and shouldn't be...
