For 5'9 in the 130's is 180 a good length ski for me?

I ski east coast, park a lot, all mountain a lot, and pipe when its in condition. I'm captain of my schools race team, so I want something that can fly.

For 5'9 in the 130's is 180 a good length ski for me?

"and since your asking if it would work, you prolly arnt super expierenced yet, so be careful. a soft, light jib ski, then definatly go for it. if its like a Mojo or Karma, itll work you over." I would not go that far till you have seen me ski. I just don't buy enough skis to know a ton about...

For 5'9 in the 130's is 180 a good length ski for me?

I might be able to get a sick ski at 180 cm, should I go for it or settle for a 171, 175 or 176. I supposed to be 6 ft in 2 years or so.

Dumont vs. pipe cleaner vs. spk vs. karma for the pipe

I think I am going to get one of these, which one is better for speed and the pipe. (not much rails) Also would be nice for tables...

What is the perfect ski for a freestyler and a racer? (freestyle comes first)

I now think pipe cleaners, spk's, or karmas. Not sure which ones, karmas are a little expensive.

    Backcountry in the northeast

The backside of sunday river seems sick, but you would have to hike back up a steep slope or park at the road below. Otherwise on the 1-5 pow days a year you could try that and it would be awesome.

    Parents and freestyle skiing

    Frontflip or Backflip

My first flip was a front, I landed it but it was not so smooth. Next I went for the backflip and landed it 2nd try. I don't know if this is helpful but if I were you I would try them both, same day, front first. Flipping front for some reason seems more natural.

    Sw Backflip vs. Frontflip

Front flips are easy because you dont need much speed, air, or skill. I land my first front flip first try off a kicker that shot like 15 to 20 up. Today I was pullin fronts off of a jump with little speed and only 7 or less feet of air. Fronts are a trick that can be done off almost any ok...

What is the perfect ski for a freestyler and a racer? (freestyle comes first)

I know everything you guys said about buying two makes sense, but I feel like I can achieve a high enough level in both styles of skiing with one ski, and many seem to suggest the pipe cleaners, the karmas, the spks, and one said the mo2's. I'm not sure which one of these to choose. I found...

    The Latest Stuff

its only important that the gear is within the last couple of years. If its four years old or something its time to get new stuff. If you have the $ money why not change every season.

I am a freestyle skier and often go to the park, yet I am also suprisingly the captain of my schools varsity race team. I was wondering what ski I should get for both. I am 5,9 132lbs. and am considering the pipe cleaners and the spks. (171 pc, and 168 spks) Have any other ski suggestions? I...
