for how wide they are (110mm) they are extremely light. and like everyone is saying above the way the ride is awesome. like the site says if there is any ski that rides like a snowboard this is it. its a ton of fun off jumps and the landing are so soft on it. as for rails they will be do fine...
they did not change at all from last season. Exact same dimenstions (139-110-137) and same soft flex with the eliptical side cut. I just road the 08/09 last week and loved them they are so mcuh fun wherever u take them jumps, pow, groomers.
the 09 lizzies are so sick (not that they are any different from the 06/07 07/08) but they were so much fun everywhere i took them. dont listent to people that hate about skiing them in the east. i took them in powder ice groomers park and loved them everywhere so dont be scared to ski them in...
yeah def not a buttering ski for the park. its more for freeriding. if you are looking for a soft 110mm ski for the park check out the elizabeth. really really soft, great for jumpsÂ
oh yeah def! i mean they are not going to be great for doing like switch up on rails but on jumps they are great and the landings are soooo soft. buttering on them is sooo easy too
The flex is pretty much the same as last year, there is still no metal in the ski but its still moderately stiff. (not as stiff as a prophet) They put full side wall construction in the ski with a beveled side wall to prevent top sheet delam. they made them 100mm underfoot. they ski amazing in a...
They are such a fun ski to ride on any kind of conditions on my opinion. because they are so soft you can mess around on pretty much anything. the 172 size makes them really fun too
the blend are arent as stiff as a prophet but they are perfect and ski amazing. they dont have any metal. they changed the blend to a full side wall construction and made it 100mm underfoot which is perfect. i absolutely loved the way they ski and they look amazing.
The only thing they changed with the chronic is they added a thicker side wall and it is not vertical anymore. they beveled the sidewall to decrease delam from skis clacking against each other.
/\ /\ /\ so true
wow i cant believe you guys are hating on this edit... what some of you refuuuuuuuse to understand is skiing does not have any boundaries what so ever! period... anyone can go out there and do whatever the hell they want. its about their own progression. half the people hate...
i dont know how i feel about the edge armour. i agree with what someone said up above is if it really does work it needs to be going on throughout the entire ski. but i dont know if that will keep edges from cracking or blowng out
i mean i like the idea of empire i think its pretty sick but their prices are absurd..... 40 dollars for a hat 42 for a shirt 32 for a hat the gloves are going to be out of hand pricey  we're ski bums here!! we dont have that kinda of money to drop on stuff like that
