I compared these skis to my Mothership 182's and 10cm is a very small difference. With the 110mm waist I think the surface area will make up for the loss of 10cm for myself if mounted at the suggested position.
Mine are doing the same thing. I've epoxied some of the spots, but eventually the whole damn ski is gonna be epoxied. I'm just skiing the shit out of them and hopefully they'll break so I can get new ones. Other than the cosmetic issues, they ski great.

Go for CU. Boulder is fun town and the skiing is good. Unfortunately, you will get most of your days skiing in Summit County when the best skiing in CO is in other places.
