there are big mountain skiers all over. like someone mentioned above, they just don't get the public and financial attention as park skiers. check out the big mountain comps at snowbird, kirkwood, crested butte, and the rest of the tour if you want to see some sick big mountain skiers.

just a note. squaw doesn't open their boundaries so if you're looking to head into the BC from a resort don't go there. everywhere else is fine. if you're looking for both park and BC i would suggest alpine meadows. they have a nice park and easy access to some great backcountry as well.
