i've never really done a decent front of a jump, just like of little rollers and stuff, but im sure 15 ft will be plenty, and i throw more superman on skis than without just so you get over your tips.
I kinda feel that it was snowboard influenced, when it became popular they were trying to ride everything. log rides probably progressed to the more durable, less edge-catching metal rails.
well i used my urban condition skis, so it didn't really matter to me, but it will definitely take a toll on your boots, front pointing up 50+degree frozen gravel.
im pretty sure they're facing a hefty fine. and no it wouldn't be good if they got away with it. it was wrong, there are plenty of natural chutes and with AMC on the prowl now there will be no brushing over the summers so in a few years the trail will be a bramble choked mess.
if your sheet is to thin to countersink, like less than half inch, than you can use liquid nails, or some other adhesive, or carriage bolts if you dont mind a few bumps
