    well, i like skiing with no poles in the park cause i can grab much better and i dont have to worry about landing on them, so when my friend snapped his i gave him mine for the day, bad choice, the rest of the mountain is terrible without them. in conclusion, park sans poles= your own decision...

    give a try, its actually a little easier on your knees than alpine (given your strong enough) but you dont have to switch, i do both, if its just gonna be a groomers and park day i bring my alpines, but if their is powder and trees to be had then ill tele.
