It all depends on where you live. In hippy VT, I feel like it doesn't even matter, at least at my mtn. Everyone is just up there having a good time. If you can rip and you're on a snowboard, RIGHT ON....if you can rip and you're tele, RIGHT ON....etc....

You're probably going to get flamed for asking that...but ignore those people. Your ski is made up of 5 basic elements: topsheet bases edges core sidewalls Your core is obviously the core of your ski. The topsheet is on the top where the graphics are. Bases are pretty self-explantatory...

I have no problem with straight edge kids. I used to hang out with a few in college. But these kids were dope, they didn't care what we did in our spare time (drink/smoke) and we always used to hang out. But they had some edge friends who would hide in the bushes around campus and straight...
