If your going for a pc i dont know why it would be a dell. Another thing, get a hard drive that runs at 5400 or 7200 rpm. If your planning on multitasking while editing definitely pick up a pc with more ram. dont worry about the hard drive space too much either, you can buy externals for...

Why dont you just do it yourself?

I just recently picked up an HP notebook, works just fine with normal standard def footage. It has 4gigs of ram and 250 gig hdd. The graphics card doesnt really matter unless you play games on your computer. the thing with HD footage is it just takes up more space so but an external.
