Yeah, get those VCTs. I ski last year's in 175, and I'm about the same height/weight, and I would love a little bit more length, so 182 should be perfect. VCTs are the most understated all-mountain ski, for some reason people just don't talk them up as much as they should.

Northstar? I was just there, and all i see is 12 year old kids on twins hitting stuff, and dodging tourist snowboarders sitting everywhere. Yeah, there are some good snowboarders (some really good ones), but the point is that you see more snowboard gapers than lame skiers in the park.

^^^ what he said. I ski 175 '06 VCT's (same waist as gotamas and P4s, 104) and they rip everywhere. They're really light, and its actually pretty fun to stomp a landing in the park on fat skis. Groomers, crud, okay ice can get a little dicey but thats true for any twin. Don't go below 100.

Out here in tahoe, I see more kids on twins than on boards. Younger kids, like 8-12, I don't see too many on boards. Of course, most of the 20-27 crowd seems to be on boards, so yeah, I do think twins are taking over.

I've got some cityscape AR5s that are doing that on the tip of one ski, the topsheet is just peeling up in one solid piece. I dunno, it sounds worse than it is, I'm just gonna slap on some epoxy.
