this is most likely becasue you are using bindings thar are anywhere from 2-10 years old, new fks's definitly last if youtake care of em, but you are right about the threads in the forward pressure adjustment, those can get f'd up if you ride in the summer with all the salt and dirt.

you can adjust FKS bindings, but only minamally. As for binding suggestions, i would go with FKS always they are the most burly solid binding you will find without having to put a ton of weight on your skis. i use FKS on all my skis except a pair of px18's on my EP's which i like but it did...

ide go with some 189 hellbents with px18's they are pretty light, and probaly the coolset park ski around

In the summer they get alot of dirt in the turn-table assembely and they are a bitch to clean out. but other then that they are my favorit binding !!
