    Ankle Injury

I stacked really hard a few years ago. I broke a couple of bones in my leg and had some other injuries. 6 months later my ankle would hurt like a MOFO whenever I flexed it foreword. I went to an ankle guy and what happened from the impact I developed bone spurs on my lower leg where it...

Whats harder....true backcountry skiing or park skiing.

ok here's my 2c. You can debate this till the end of time but fact is far more people die in the back country than in terrain parks. And I am willing to wager that far few people ski TRUE back country than in parks...therefore BC is far less forgiving. That being the case I would have to say...

i lived in tahoe for 7 years. SICK place! The skiing is phenom...the hanggliding during the summer is insane. We got to altitudes of 17,000' on a regular basis and could fly from mt rose to kings beach alot during the summer. I now live in PC utah...the snow is better BUT the season is so...

Which is best.....deer valley, park city, the canyons?

the lines are not the same at pc vs the canyons. At the canyons 9990 and peak 5 will be EMPTY while it is crowded at tombstone and saddleback. Whereas PC will be crowded all over. THe park at PC KILLS the canyons...there is zero comparison. But I think for overall terrain the canyons takes...

    Avalanche death

where it happened was I believe out of bounds. The whole point of the thread was to point out the danger of avalanche and out of bounds skiing. FACT IS I was there and saw MANY PEOPLE going out of bounds. No need to hate...just want people especially those that dont ski exposed terrain to...

    Avalanche death

so I am at the canyons today. I knew avalanche danger was high and make a decision on the top of 9990 to stay inbounds (not a very tough choice). It was clearly posted that the danger was high and it has been all over the news. At a little after 11:00 it sure enough slid and someone died. My...

    Hurting knee what to do

golly gee let me think for a minute. You cant make more than 5 turns with out excruciating pain. maybe go to an orthopedic doc and get it checked out? or get random advice and potentially really have issues with your knee..this seems like a very difficult decision to me.
