here's the basics for tahoe: if you have money: squaw, will be your best bet, good mtn, good parks, but be prepared to share with LOTS of tourists and people just learning how to ski, it was the home of the 1960 olympics you know, so everyone from every country must visit and ski there at least...

^very true, if you're heading to northshore, wich i strongly reccomend, check out some places in tahoma, seems to be the mecca for ski/board bums on a budget. get a job at a resort to get a pass deal, that will help, or get the young adult pass at alpine b4 oct 1. $199, can't go wrong...

davis? don't get me wrong, but for a ski reunion, wouldn't it make more sense to be at tahoe or mammoth where we are actually close to skiing and nightlife? if we go to davis, a good portion of every day (5 hrs/day if we go to tahoe) will be spent in the car. i think tahoe's a better idea...

i'm a girl, and i ski pe's. personally, i like them better than the 1080's but that's just me. i would wait for line to put out the shadow and celebrity this season, then have your friend demo them. perhaps they will be a pussie ski, if so, that's too bad, but i have a feeling these are not...
