you want them to cover up the ski as much as possible so you get as much traction as you can. so go with something atleast the waist of your ski. be sure to trim them correctly though, just like ^he said. you want your edges still sticking out, just cover up the base so you can still use them...

commit. try to keep your shoulders almost over your toe piece. look at the jump/landing while u land, then open up after your riding away and look behind you and flip around. don't try and stomp it hard, its easier to ride away if you set your skis down on the snow nice and easy. then enjoy...

alta is made out of rocks. specially castle/high T/sugarloaf, what do you expect? you will hit rocks all season long, even with 500 inches.

I never said global warming was causing the lack of snow right this instance. but it is going to in the long run if it already hasn't. its just not a normal year. I said it always does come, as in the snow will fall, just when and how much is the question. I'm just saying it is affecting us...

were not just talking about utah. GLOBALLY temperatures are on the rise. thats why the ice caps are melting. the current temperature means nothing, its all about over time, not a single day. your correlation between the storms and a daily temperature has nothing to do with global warming. again...

I'm glad this is becoming an issue. I posted about this a couple of weeks ago and nobody responded. global warming is shortening our winters, do whatever you can do reduce your fossil fuel output.
