the best you can do would be to find a photo place where you live that rents lenses for your camera and try them for 1-2 days, or right at the shop. Usely they're nice.

I wouldn't buy a fisheye. Just buy a 20mm or something like that, it will give you, maybe 120 degrees rather than 180, and it will be way cheaper. Check on ebay for second hand or old lenses that fits on your mount. Old lenses, in most cases are just as good as the new one they put out...

MiniDV is what you need for making DVDs, and such. MiniDV puts out 720x480 movies, wich is the TV standard. Unless you want to do HD DVD stuff you wont need HD. For now HD is useless, and if you burn it on a regular DVD, the quality will go down to 720x480. Sure the picture will be a bit better...

time lapses now a days are fuckin played cuz its not made the real fuckin way. Watch Baraka and thats real timelapses... you kids think that leacin a dv cam on for 5 hours and fastfowarding it is cool, well its not and its played.
