    It's nice to have a straight 50 in the kit, but if you're shooting ski for real you'll need a 70-200 2.8 and a superwide. You won't wind up using the 50 for much other than standard protraiture. What body are you running?

    NOT Polyurethane, bot polyETHYLENE. Any good plastic will work, ABS, UHMW, Teflon $$, will all work as long as you get pieces that are strong enough (thick enough) to stand up to a 200lb Gorilla landing on it. Call around to the plastics shops in the yellow pages.
