we were set up for an epic season at whiteface with a better early season park than ever seen before. then it rained. now the parks an ice field and the rest of the mountains worse. just because jay peak gets hammered doesn't mean the rest of the east coast deserves rain. rain, i hate you...

whoever suggests losing the poles obviously never learned to ski before they started falling on booters. i couldn't imagine skiing without poles, they're essential. **a skier without poles is like a snowblader with really long blades.

smaller jumps make rails easier for me. coming on to a rail hard ruins my balance.. but everyone's different.

dumont, you could hear the crash from the camera. it was rediculous.. i couldn't even watch it the first time.

I just got mine.. they look amazing as a room decoration right now and I can't wait to shred them. I got the 169 with last year's Look P10 WB (the pivot model). Last year I had 159 Fujitives and they killed the rails.

my local mountain doesn't have a website or trail maps. 4 trails- one huge trail divided by a t-bar- and 2 "backtrails" or little sidecut things. i win. oh and probably 150' of vertical. gnarly.

yeah my friend does rails unnatty when he comes on switch so he got unnattys real quick.. but everytime i try unnattys i fuck myself up. when i skateboard i ride goofy (right foot forward) so riding rails has always been more natural that way. i can do boxes unnatty but rails are still hard.

oh mannn.. whiteface can be amazing and it can be terrible.. it's a love hate type of deal. where 90% of the season leans towards the hate. if you catch it at just the right time: spring park after the snowboard cup, one day of slides opening two years ago, spring conditions on a decent table...
