Saw one guy doing 5s when I was on holiday like 4/5 years ago. Thought it was alright. Then saw some magazines and propaganda and was blown away by what they could do. Took me a few years to afford twins though.

Need to buy an Giro10mx- noone in the UK is stocking them so I'm gonna buy it over the internet. Any reccommendations for websites I should use? I looked at the giro website but they have loads to pick from and I'm not sure which ones are any good.

I reckon learing switch ones off a kicker helps before you try onto a rail. They feel really cool too.

I'm pretty sure that Giro don't make the mx anymore. I tried to get another this year after losing my old one and I can't.

I just carried my boots on seperately to my hand luggage- i had no problems at all.

The gun's are slightly flexier and can be made to have more flex too. They also have a padded sole to cushion harder landings but technically are slightly narrower. Saying that I have massively wide feet and mine fit like a glove after a couple of times skiing them.

Salomon Pro Gun's would probably be good for you. They're similar to race boots in fit but are slightly flexier and have shock absorbtion in the sole. I just got a pair and they're really nice.

I don't mind when I'm riding in the park or going off piste but I hate wearing one when I'm just cruising about or trying easy stuff. It's probably a good idea for 90% of skiers though- some people are complete muppets and out of control.

There's also alot of european guys- seb garhammer and loads of french dudes.

Hely Hansen are pretty small- I'm 5 2 and got the small pants- they fit really good!
