I drive to Tahoe every weekend from Davis, it usually takes me an hour 45 min to get to Tahoe City.

Usually the 'pop' is a classic sign of a ligament tear-I would go to an orthopedist if I were you, get an MRI and get that checked out. In the meantime-don't ski on it, ice it and if you have one maybe wear a brace or something like that to stabilize that knee.

^^Squaw is my personal favorite-but Alpine is cheaper with good terrain as well. Besides, this guy used to give me shit about liking squaw until he saw the light.

Go with alpine-definitely the best for whatever you want to do...excellent park and excellent mountain.

I think if you are as good of a skier as tanner is, you can wear whatever you want. When you can ski as well or better than Tanner can, then you can give him shit for his choice in clothing.

Just keep practicing, and ski with other who do know how to ski park and ask for tips. Also, go on the mountain-that's where REAL skiing happens. Besides, I find that if you can huck off a rock/cliff/cornice then it'll improve your abilities on the jumps in the park.

Red bull is coke for me-I get soooooooooo wired it's insane. Then again I'm real little-caffeine (and alcohol for that matter) affects me greatly in small amounts.

Tahoe definitely, I am originally from just north of SF (marin) and it's about 3-4 hours from truckee. From there you have a huge range of good resorts to ski at.

You should do what makes you happy-I would go out west if I were you, you can major in film studies and ski and have a good time. This will be your home for 4 years, you want to enjoy it.

Go to college. I'm sure everyone on here would love to be a pro skier but odds of that happening are against all of us. College will allow you to have the opportunity to actually make money, have a career, etc but you can still ski and have fun. College is so much fun-yes there is a lot of work...
