There is a market for tough bindings, but there is not a lack of tough bindings on the market. Rossi and Look have the px18 and px15's. Salomon has the 916 and 920's. markers have a 30 din race bindings, although it is closer to a 15 din binding....
To continue making fks bindings is...
Honestly, they are very similar that it wont even matter. For me, I like the px design a little better cause there is more forward pressure and better contact with the ski. but they don't make that much of a difference so get whatever is cheaper.
looks have always been heavy. the px12 is actually lighter than the p12. Salomon's are light, but the 10 and 12 din models have been known to break by people who are heavy (greater than 175 lbs). Get the look px's. I ride those and have had no problems with them.
Honestly, upper end consumer...
You know what they are, the classic. Used p12's for one season. Works flawlessly, Good condition, slight cosmetic
damage only, comes with lifters, but they can be taken off. regular width
brakes.

you guys are also missing something else. what is your bsl?
i am 155lbs, have a 305mm bsl and set my bindings at 9.5. if he has a small boot, then a 10 is perfectly reasonable setting.
