    --R.I.P-- P18 and all Pivots

I'm really lost with your post...you say just because someone skis park aggressively, they have some magic power to make a plastic binding explode on a simple carve? WTF???? As I mentioned in my reply to the other idiot, you can have TOO MUCH forward pressure, which you admitted to having in...

    --R.I.P-- P18 and all Pivots

Honestly, what bindings have you broken before? I don't disagree that P/FKS bindings are good. But honestly, I've skied PX12/14's all season, usually set on 8 or 9, and NEVER had a problem. I may not be able to throw sw10's, but as I mentioned in my previous post, I ski hard enough to break...

    --R.I.P-- P18 and all Pivots

That's OK....I've been on P18s as well and didn't notice a difference when I was clicked into either binding. The PX12 released easier, but that's because I had it set at a lower DIN. For reference, I've destroyed two pairs of 912ti's and a pair of markers. Secondly, WTF is with people...

I've been on PX12s one two different pairs of skis this season and haven't had a problem.

    Which are the best skullcandy?

Uhh, skull candy is just some stupid trend started by the gangster kids. This has nothing to do about "supporting" the ski industry. Do they give money to help forward skiing? No, so they are not "supporting" the ski industry. If anything they are "taking" from the ski industry in the form...

    Tune/wax kit

Honestly, if you're skiing park a lot, tuning isn't even worth it. Rails and boxes will take out your edges and wax. If anything, I would just get a cheap clothes iron, scraper and wax to keep you from going to slow into jumps (waxing). You'll end up having to do it often, but everything else...

    Giro Encore vs. Smith Holt

I ride on storm days a lot, and hate snow getting on my head. When its storming, vents are closed. Every other day I leave them open, but I probably get like 10-20 storm days a year, and that was enough to justify getting the G10 over the encore for me.

    Giro Encore vs. Smith Holt

I was gonna say the encore sucks because you cant close the vents, but if its just for sunny days, its an ok helmet. Neither is amazing when it comes to ventilation, but the smith does work well with smith goggles, if you have some. Neither is going to be amazing overall, so I would just see...

    07/08 Thrusters or ar6's?

For the record, I've skied the 08 models of BOTH these skis. A really tough call. The thruster is a much more mature ski for next year. Yeah it was a noodley cheap feeling ski, but next year's ski is much more stable, VERY poppy, and just generally more fun to ski. On the other hand, the AR6...

    Armada comes through!

I think you'll like that ski better than the t-halls, as it does way better out of the park.

    How sick would this be

Uh, why don't you two just get a snowmobile and have it all to yourselves?

I broke my arm doing a double backy...

OK, you've not really countered my first point, and you've backup up my second point. Mounting a ski true center is retarded because you make it more difficult to carve the ski by placing your foot nowhere near the center of the sidecut. Now if you go and buy some JPvJ's, mount them true...

More reason why mounting true center is stupid on anything but symmetrical skis...

Thoughts on evolution of riding POW

I think pillow zones are where pow skiing is going to progress. Whether it's buttering around them or just spins and grabs between pillows, they are the park jumps of the powder realm, and I think with newer, fatter park skis, this kind of skiing will get really popular. I understand where the...

I broke my arm doing a double backy...

Uhh, genius, if you read my entire reply, you would realize that I am aware that the JPvJ's are wide...and that they don't have as much sidecut. I haven't skied the JPvJ's, but I've skied the Volkl Gotama (28mm difference between tip and waist, 105 underfoot), and had no problems making long...

Salomon z10 bindings new in box

And you have skied this binding to back up this claim? No problems with both the Z10 and Z12 for me, and I've skied both of them.

I broke my arm doing a double backy...

I'm curious.......how many of you have actually skied the JpvJ? Im reading all this talk about how it's impossible to carve and all you can do is smear turns. Now understand I haven't skied it, but I've been on some long and pretty straight skis, and you can still carve them just fine. They...
