ben harper fucking rocks, i listen to a lot of his stuff but mostly the mellow stuff. Like Live From Mars, that cd kicks ass. I saw him open for someone but it wasnt' that good because they gave him bad sound quality so the main act would sound better.

anyone who likes indie should check out little wings, they are the shit. Also, definately check out sufjan stevens, i'm addicted to them right now.

first of all, indie is awesome. but it's mostly just artists who are just making music and don't really care about money and shit, and it's underground. Most of if it is mellow, some is experimental, but not all of it is the same.
