some amplid skis come with metal inserts that you can use with their slider plate system or somthing like that. They are pretty much the same thing as snowboards holes. Mine came with them even though i dont use them.

I have some old aluminum poles they are solid I bought them for 5 moneys and they have lasted 4 season. They are bent a little and have a bunch of dents in them but they are still solid. So just go to a swap and buy some old poles paint them if you must.
