I have a pair of 08/09 dumonts which are GREAT to ski, they just falling apart though! I wanna try someone other than salomon, and i need a really durable ski with a stiffer flex! RMU? Armada? Suggestions please?
For an english class i have to write a 10 page paper on the history of freeskiing (i'm gonna include hot doggin, and even some old warren miller, sorry but i'll need to if i want 10 pages) I searchbar'd this and found some great vids and stuff, but i am required to have at least 2 book sources...
Ok so I've never skinned before and don't know too much about it, but i'm about to get my first pair. I heard that you can do shaped or straight skins, and that shaped give you more grip, but straight are easier to deal with. what do you reccomend?
The bases are in excelent condition, around the edge of the topsheet there is some fiberglass splintering action going on but graphics are still perfect. Really really good solid and fun ski. $95 send me message or e-mail at a.rapp@comcast.net
I just got a new pair of salomon czars. Now i need to get some bindings. I like the STH bindings on my dumonts but for a backcountry ski i was kinda thinking touring bindings for skinning.
Are there any disadvantages to touring bindings?
Which should i get?

I live in denver and we just got dumped and hit urban for three days, and tomorrow we wanna go to the mountains for a little backcountry kickers or whatever. i know the higher mountains(loveland pass, berthoud) didn't get as much as the lower mountains so where are some good areas for jumps and...

i've seen a few videos where it looks like the guys have knee braces on for backcountry. i've never worn braces, but was wondering if its a good idea, and if so whats a good brand of brace?
