They are metal inserts so you would be fine just leaving them.

One mounting is much farther back from the other. I bought them from somebody and never used them, he had drilled them twice but only used them once. So thats why.

They stl's are light, not bulky at all.

The 04-05 ar5's were used on rails, i never used the arv's i bought them off of someone and never used them, and the 03-04 ar5's were my brothers and he tried one rail and it didnt go well.

If anyone has any trades i am looking for outerwear and an ipod.
