Talked to my girl from NH who was in Stratton:
Broken Reactor count - 3 at Stratton
- 4 at X-Games pipe for Josh Bibby, did anyon notice he was on Salomon's on the last run? They ran out of Reactors.
What horror stories? From what I've seen the only problem is cosmetic blemishes ffrom chips in the topsheet. That does nothing to the performance of the ski. Sorry, you can't be blinging forever.
And as far as the kid who tried to warranty his, it's not Sterbenz every time you call 4FRNT...
^moron, did you not hear what they SAID??? This is the best way to raise money for Lars' foundation. There are no 'alterior motives', take all your conspiracy theories and eat them.
Some of you people are so salty or stupid, you just can't see a good thing when it's in front of you.
And...
My edges are perfect. In fact, I saw the rep. at a demo actually encouraging kids to hit rails with his demos! No ski co. has ever let that go on, including Line.
Mulletskum, I have an idea for you. If the same thing happened to you that happened to me with my PE's, you snapped your tails digging them into the snow on a bad landing. Which my shop told me wasn't a warranty either. BUT, my Dad's Visa bought them, and under the Visa purchase protection...
jib_this, have a problem seeing new companies do good? Seems like you've been waiting for a chance to pounce on 4FRNT. The STL's are a VERY durable ski, mine have withstood numerous urban and on-snow rails.
I would be amused to see how many people have de-lamed their Salomon's or snapped...
Actually you're ALL wrong. The first twin was the Olin Mark 4, circa 1974.
But I agree, Salomon does SUCK. Why do you think all their athletes are leaving? Vinnie, Niklas, JP, JF, Candide, and if rumors are correct, soon to be CR!
I doubt they're trying to take over the binding world. Just making a binding suited to our needs as freeskiers, that's aligned with their skis.
You never know though. It was such a 'limited market' when Salomon happened.
Also, I think their athletes have been skiing them since last Feb. with...
