my bad. pressed enter to early. so ya, u can paint it but just aware taht it possibly will scrape off.

i dono. my rail was a 3inch pipe that i had for a clothes line, and the paint came right off it. and it was pretty narly but i think it was the type of paint. and also usualy at mountains if u look at the rail the paints usualy scraped off where u slide.

this is the best idea i guess. u could learn to weld and buy make a base with it.
