so, a ski should not break in 2 if you hit a rock. The ski was deffinately defective. Plus its not like the rock was avoidable.

It depends on where they are made. I believe they are made in the USA, so there will not be any duty on them. There is only duty on products that are manufactured outside of the free trade.
