i love my chronic wides... they're sick everywhere on the mountain. I'm 6'1" 200lbs and they're plenty stiff enough for me... definitely not a soft ski.

I'm pretty much the same size as you and I ride 177 chronic wides. They're super fun and stable all over the mountain and they carve well too. You should definitely give them some consideration, i promiss you you'll love them.

the invadder is the only ski line has been having trouble with and it's not good for cruising anyway... the rest of them are bomb proof i would suggest the chronic, its solid and stiff enough to handle well outside the park
