    The guns

foil is wider in the tip than the gun (at least in the 182) but 3mm thinner in the waist. I'm not sure why the gun having less side cut is suprising, it's a powder ski, sidecut = bad in pow. The foil is a great carver. As to the gun being wider, i may be mistaken but i believe it is the exact...

    FS: 189 Vicious

very interesting, and almost sad to hear. If I hadn't bought that 3rd spatula I might make them my park skis.

    Big park skis

the 182 foils i ride have an 87 waist. I like the width a lot, but i think i could go up to 100 and something 185 plus would be awesome.

    Long park skis

I think I just made a thread similiar to this. I got 182 foils this year and am wishing they were bigger, oh well, they're pretty sweet. last year's 188 bc's?

1080 Foils - surprise skis of the year

I love mine so far, I'm 6'2 190 and they're mounted +2. Only skied minimal park, but plenty good for the park riding I do. I've skied them mostly on the weird slush/crud pow we've been having, mostly steeps Kirkwood and Sugarbowl. Very impressed with they're ability in softer snow as they're...

    Big park skis

I know this has been talked about, but I've finally become a believer that I might as well be on a long fat ski in the park. I'm 6'2 190 and ski tahoe, I recently got foils, biggest park ski I've had so far, but it still feels small (i did mount +2, maybe a mistake). I do have a quiver, but...

    182 foil review

Got a chance to ski my 182 foils monday at Kirkwood. I'm 6'2 190 and my foils are mounted @ +2. Conditions were...interesting, it snowed 2-3 feet the day before then rained all night leaving a chalky powder of 2-4 inches on top with sloppy slush down low. Normally I would have skied my...

    Drawbacks to center mount

Your tails hook when trying to carve, less nose to load in the turn (less power in your turns). Tips more likely to dive in pow, much less stable at speeds.

    Going skinnier/shorter?

I've been doing the same, at least with in the quiver specifics of the ski, park skis get fatter (slightly longer) pow big mtn get wider, though with the decrease in overall size in the ski industry, the longest skis available keep getting shorter.

Say I if you have ever owned 1080's

no, second season of the 1080's were blue. They were great skis but they still came with plastic tips that would eventually fall off.

Best Twin Glade Ski (In the trees)??

    Best Terrain Park

That was a joke right? Mammoth is incredible, June goes crazy. I'm not so sure about all this Northstar talk, they've improved, but I still don't find it anywhere near as good as mammy. The just are funny shaped, not enough pop and too much drop.

    I hate Southern California

The same is also very possible in northern california, except with better mountains and waves. Last spring we skied Kirwood, then went waterskiing and ended the day with a swell in Santa Cruz.

    I hate Southern California

finally found a cool tech, though he's never bent brakes before. He was like, i'll try and if i mess them up I'll just get you wide brakes no charge. For those of you wondering, he's originally from northern california. I guess that's proof enough.

    I hate Southern California

So i'm stuck down here untill the 18th because of finals and will be driving straight to tahoe and skiing the 19th. Yesterday I tried to get my foils mounted and the first shop I went to they didn't have a tech (I called beforehand and they said the tech was in). Decided to try another shop...
