^ what he said, the diagonal carry system is prime for uphill, never had any issues, i wanna say itll fit up to 130mm waist width skis fine, i got 110 and its still got room. Never had them fall out or slip, a couple of ski straps definately helps. But yeah if your walking downhill your tails...
