Check out the Freeskier review of the Fischer Atua. Supposed to be one of the best skis on the mkt this year. Sounds like what ur looking for.

If that's your situation then I guess it is what it is. Not much choice. But outside of you it seems like there are a ton of people on this board who want skis for places like CO, UT, CA, etc... and I know for a fact that all of these places have ass loads of ski shops that demo tons of gear...

I've seriously never had this problem. I always demo skis in December, and I'm always able to demo the ski I want in the size I want. If your somewhere that has skiing then you should be somewhere that has ski shops with more than one pair of skis.

I've never heard of, seen, or read about a shop that won't let you demo skis. If they won't let you demo then u need to find a new shop.

Look, he's OBVIOUSLY joking! Everyone knows there is NO good snow in UT. It's a really bad place to take a ski vacation. Just a bunch of really long lift lines, no snow, weak beer, etc... I would highly recommend going somewhere else. Maybe Tahoe or something like that.

Just go demo the shit. Then you'll know for sure if the skis you want to buy are the right kind/size/shape/style/color/length/width/etc... I'm pretty sure you wouldn't buy a car w/o taking it for a spin, so why drop hundreds of $$ on skis you've never even tried? So that's my one brilliant...

I'm 6' and used to race mt bikes, so at the time I only weighed 160 and I skiied the pocket rocket 185 with NO trouble. Trust me it's soft. There's no reason to ski the 175. If ur really unsure then just demo 'em then you'll know.
