i have my polestraps loose normally and i cracked my knuckle and destroyed the 1st and second joints in my thumb on sunday. the cartilege in the joints was pushed part way out of the joint. it just happens dude. it has nothting to do with how tight your straps are. it's just part of the sport.

I had to take the rest of the kids down the hill afterwards cuz my coach had to go and talk to the parents and to the helicopter pilot to find out where they were taking the kid. If I had just left the kids there after having a kid get his leg broken on my watch I would have been in uber-shit.
