Well, the main purpose behind lifters is to increase the potential for the ski to be put on edge without boot interference. It helps with carving pretty much. I can't say whether or not it effects park skiing from experience, but I can't see it making much a difference.

If you can make it up to Killington from Rutland in 15 minutes, you are doing 120. It's 30 minutes to Killington from Rutland (especially that side of Rutland), no less. 15 minutes will get you to Pico though. It's about 40 minutes to Okemo.
