Is it just unavoidable that skiing will do permanent damage my knees, because it seems like everyone who I know that grew up skiing has had reconstructive surgery and serious knee pain. Is this just unavoidable, or are there things that can be done to prevent being unable to walk when I’m 60.

I’ve never seen someone go over 9 without going off axis, but I’m sure someone Has done it before. I’m sure the people on here can recall someone who did some big on-axis spins

I usually go 6-7 days a week because I’m addicted and I’ve convinced myself that if I ski all the time I’ll get good. The strange thing is that most of the best skiers I know only ski 2-3 days a week.

What’s the preferred method? Yelling really loud works well but can be obnoxious. Smacking your poles together works well too.
