For those of you who've been requesting a full soundtrack listing, I'll be putting it up in the next couple weeks. In the meantime, the Web site has been totally redesigned, thanks to the expertise of Newschoolers.com member Adam Sullovey. www.engsoc.org/~bigmike/skiing/videos

    edwelweiss tm??

Matt, you're so right. I was up there about a week and a half ago for night skiing and those jumps were probably the most dangerous things I've ever seen. You need 50 mph just to clear the gaps, and then you have to deal with the step down and the uneven/flat landing. And resorts wonder why...

    Bumpers--questions for you

Whatever you do, don't go through the ski school. They don't know anything about moguls. Most mogul coaches are friendly enough to give anyone some free tips, but if you want a lesson I am sure you could find a coach at a local hill that would be willing to do a cheap 1-2 hour clinic...

    Huck And Chuck

True, Darryl, but a lot of World Cup competitions are now giving hefty pay cheques to the winners. Not quite X-Games level, but getting up there.

    March 29th Comp @ fortune

Last time I think the tricks for U16 were 360 safety on the big jump (1st) and fakie 360 japan on the little jump (3rd) -- can't remember 2nd place jump. Expect a similar set up as last time: 45-55 ft big table and 20-30 ft little table. I am confident the snow will be OK till the 29th since...

    March 29th Comp @ fortune

For sure the event will go off. We have just as many prizes (or more) than the Feb. 15 event, and this time you know it won't be -30 degrees!

Big Air Comp Sat. Feb. 15

50 feet at least. If we get to play with enough snow for a good table and landing, I'd like to make it 60 feet. Don't worry, it won't be anything like the Edelweiss jump a few weeks ago. That one was _supposed_ to be good, until they switched the site to a run with dirt and rocks sticking out...

    Ottawa Big Air Jan. 18

Yep, there will be a category for girls. The guys will all jump together, but for the prizes it will be 14 & under then 15 & over.

    Ottawa Big Air Jan. 18

For those of you in the Ottawa area, there will be a big air competition held at Edelweiss next Saturday, Jan. 18. There will be training Jan. 17 and the morning of the 18th. We hope to have some product prizes, and maybe even some cash. There should be two jumps, one with a 40 foot table and...

    Rail Diaries

There are quite a few Ottawa rails in my video this year (Guinea Pigs) that my bro does. Check www.engsoc.org/~bigmike/skiing/videos for the low-down. David's also done a rail because of the new snow we just got. It was at the Long Island locks at the north end of the Manotick Island. Very...

    Rex Thomas/video segs.

He's got a segment in my vid this year, Guinea Pigs: www.engsoc.org/~bigmike/skiing/videos He was injured for much of the season, so it's mostly Snow Jam footage, but it's good stuff, as he won the overall this year. Mike
