yeah wax works, and no it doesn't really get scraped off, it fills all the imperfections and makes the rail slick as hell, so like ced said, if its a long rail you probably shouldn't unless it has a sticky spot you get hung up on , then maybe file that spot and rub a little wax on.

its more the flex than anything that determines how they ride outside of park, i mean a symmetrical ski is gonna work better outside of park, than a regular directional ski center mounted. plus if you really need more ski outside of the park use a different ski specifically for that.

it just means to reverse your spin direction while on a rail, doesn't matter if its a 90 on 270 out or a 810 on 1980 out.
