CALLING ALL SKI BOOT EXPERTS: need help/advice

dude, yesterday it was hot as shit. i was walking around in a t shirt and i wasnt even cold. i felt hot wearing my hoodie on the hill. it was at least 60+ on the mountain i think at the top it was something like 54. wait until it cools down and your boots will freeze it makes a huge difference...

    166 to 176/181

dude, i never said anything about carving being better did i? i realize a center mounted ski does not help with carving, but the way they perform in chutes when you are doing a lot of hop turns it makes things easier. lets just agree to disagree, this is just getting old

they ride perfectly fine, unless you cant ski. they make it so much easier to get turns around in steep chutes

dude, that was never the question. he said that center mount skis dont ride good all mountain i said they ride perfectly fine, and they even help with some things all mountain. it was never about where the ski skis the best, i was saying that center mounted skis ride fine all mountain

they still ride perfectly fine all mountain, unless of course you cant ski then either wont ride well. a center mount ski does provide some benefits for skiing all mountain and you cant say it doesnt. with the skis we are riding mounting at center isnt that far off from the recommended mounting...

    166 to 176/181

he said center mounted skis dont ride good all mountain, i said they do because of the reasons i gave. i know that it works against the side cut but im saying they still ski fine all mountain. and with most twintip skis the recommended mounting point is further forward than a traditional ski so...

    Hellbents or Sir Francis Bacons

bents, but if you are looking for something that is a lot better all mountain and still kills in powder, go for obsetheds

    166 to 176/181

your an idiot, dont give advice until you are a little more knowledgeable. center mounted skis only suffer in performance really in powder, but these skis wont be seeing too much powder im guessing, and even if they were mounted back they are pretty narrow so they wont be great in powder...

    166 to 176/181

181 is perfect for you, its fine if you mount center, but i know -2 will definately kill everything no matter what ur riding
  14. E

    166 to 176/181

181, going -2 is a pretty good standard for mounting a park/all mountain ski.

    K2 SETH MOUNT

just get a big ski, i have 189 obsetheds, and rode 189 reg seths and center is a great place because they still kill it all mountain but make park way better. i actually like center mount better for all mountain riding, it makes it way better for tight turns in narrow chutes and on steep stuff
  16. E

    K2 SETH MOUNT

Which seths are we talking about? i have obsetheds, and i rode the seths before they had the mini tip rocker both are fun with a center mount, kills all mountain and in the park, of course i had the 189 so the center mount didnt really kill all mountain performance, it actually makes it better...

    New Park ski

i could fix those since i am a ski tech, but i would rather drop the 100 extra bucks on the brand new pair, fixing them up could take a while and remounting could be a problem since the holes will probably be too close to each other

    New Park ski

Im just asking for some names of skis to look at, i think anthems would be fine at 200 for a pure park ski but im trying to get some more suggestions on what to look into.
