    Snoqualmie/Alpental Thread

I road Central today and park crew was claiming Central will be open next weekend. Also, there is a decent sized gap jump, looks a little like the gap step over that was the big air at X games this year, but not as much of a step over. Supposedly Mack Dawg filmed on it already and Matchstick...

I think I had on my browns. I did not get the Sick Bird. I think it was actually given to the wrong skier. Should have gone to Zach from Mt. Baker. He went the biggest and did it pretty clean. The guy that got sick bird (rabid raven) did the same thing I did on the 40 fter.

Yeah, I did crash on that 40 footer. I sent it pretty big. I thought that high speed would set me up with a better landing and I was wrong. It was really stiff and bucked me pretty good. The only guy that landed that cliff stopped and dropped which helped him match the angles.

ok, so that didnt work too well... Sorry about the long scoring input. The skiing was pretty rough. Dust on crust. Probably about 6 inches on ice pack. For the finals, most of the snow in the steep sections feel off so the skiing was technical. To say that Tyler is a pro and the rest are...

I was out there on Sunday in the lumberjack wear cruising solo. It was pretty fun except my case on the 2nd jump. I cased, bounced, and landed on my skis down the tranny and now 30 hours later I feel like I have some whip lash... See you out there tomorrow.

Kevin, did you get busted on Weds? I was hoping your boy would be cool seeing how you have paid your dues up there. That guy is always a terd. I helped him pull his car out of a ditch last year and the very next day I forgot my pass and he was like who are you, I cant let you up... I wanted...

    Summit Pass

My thought is not really regarding the price as much as it is that if you want to ski Alpental you have to pay more. I would be interested in what people thought if it were reversed and Summit was taxed.

    Summit Pass

I find it interesting that Summit decided to tax Alpental riders this winter... Maybe it will help keep the crowds down, which would be nice, but I am not sure if taxing Alpentalics is the way to do it. $339 - Unlimited $289 - everything but Alpental on weekends but includes a $10 lift ticket...

    Alpental open AGAIN?

I kind of agree. The other way to go is to look for a better spot to build a 70fter. There are plenty of options out there.

Nice work on that jump guys! It was pretty sick. I walked it off and it was a true 70' if you make the downside. That's pretty big. Great shots too! Crazy half cabs man! Could be called Chip's Gap since the drop in is below Chip's Couloir.
