    So...

Well, in the past few weeks the ski season here in Colorado has come to a big roadblock known as a massive ridge of high pressure that pushed the jet stream far north. To add to the lack of good conditions, I also got a new job that has cut back on the amount of free time I have for skiing. The...

    College question

You have no idea what you are talking about. I'm not even going to try to argue with you. There is no point. Go to Western.

CU Boulder tuition for out-of state residents???

Nonsense! You would get plenty done and you would get to ski/climb whenever you want. I've heard so many people say that over the years. (Don't take offense to the following, you are a cool kid Walker) If you don't have the self control to balance life and school you probably shouldn't be going...

    DONT go to college

CU Denver? Why??? The only conceivable reason I could think of for someone choosing CU Denver over Boulder is if they wanted a career in health science- nursing, etc.

    Cliffs....

Of all the in bounds terrain in this part of colorado, I have found no place with better dropable cliffs than the beav- end of story. I've been skiing Vail for most of my life, and there are some good cliffs around but the landings on the bigger cliffs there have to be JUST right to drop them-...

CU Boulder tuition for out-of state residents???

Proving residency even if you live with your aunt/uncle might still be hard. I guess it would help a whole lot to have a HS diploma from a CO school. You could also finish high school wherever you are and then come out to Colorado and work at a ski resort for a year to get in state residency...

    CU vs. CSU

Yeah there are people in both places that are outdoor posers for lack of a better term. I can say with certainty that there are far more trad climbers, ice climbers, mountaineers, kayakers, backcountry skiers, legitimate mountain bikers, and endurance athletes in Boulder than in Fort Collins.

    CU vs. CSU

Among many other reasons, the fact that you say you are into outdoors makes me think that CU would be the better option for you. Boulder is the outdoor adventure capital of the state- you will find way more people here in Boulder who are hardcore into the outdoors than you will in Fort Collins.

    Musty smell on my jacket...

it is a really fucking complicated process involving the little tag on the inside of the jacket that lists the proper care instructions and a washing machine.

    Going to Vail

The conditions in the past 3 days have been some of the worst I've experienced in 10 years skiing Vail. The back bowls are made up of bulletproof ice shit. We skied some secret stashes, but even they are starting to lack. Sorry bro, but we can't be givin up info on secret stashes online.

    TIGER ROLLER!!!

Switch 3 over that would be gnar. The bust factor is fairly big, but the good thing is there is that run out beneath it where you can ditch some speed.

Serious Injuries and Weather Changes- FUCK

So, I have a titanium plate and 6 scews in my left clavicle. When the weather is about to seriously change in the near future (generally 24-36 hours out) it starts to hurt. I thought it was bullshit when I heard people talking about things like this before my injury last year, but now it...

    Gas

You people don't realize that you've been conditioned to believe $2 a gallon gas to be cheap. Two years ago when gas first was $2 a gallon everyone was freaking out about how expensive it was.

Are fat skis getting out of hand?

^Right on Scott. I don't think that I will be buying another ski that is less than 100 underfoot for the foreseeable future. My everyday skis are 94 in the waist, and there have been several days where I wish they were more like 110. Moving up to a 105-110 underfoot ski for an everyday ski...
