Another boot thread: SPK or Supercharger// Already been fitted though!!!!

Did you try the Supercharger Enforcer or one of the Speed Machines? They will be stiffer than the Ignition or SPK. Also did you try other brands non-park boots. Also did you go to another shop for different brands. I would take a look at Dalbello and Head (I assume you tried Tecnica). The...

    WTB: Salomon Foils

If you can't figure it out, you don't deserve to know. Oh yeah... I heard it was in the interweb or something.

    WTB: Salomon Foils

There is this place I have heard of... I think it has value in the name and maybe sports too. You could do a little digging...

    Head or Armada

It's because Head makes a full and real women's ski line (skis and boots). Armada paints a men's ski pink and maybe takes out a layer of glass and calls it a women's ski. I would assume Head also paid here more. --rick

Is the Technica Diablo Magnesium a good ski boot?

The Magnesium used to be the top boot in the Diablo line. Last year they added the Magma (white & orange and a little stiffer). If it fits your foot and you like a stiffer boot, the Magnesium is great. I ride the Flame, the step below the Magnesium because it is softer and has a lower cuff...

    Rossi GTHO VS fisher Addict

The Addict is a true twin - mostly park, but does pretty well out of the park. It is a stiff ski, so you need to be good/powerful or a bigger guy. If you are a smaller guy, look at the Habit. The Ghetto is a pretty good all mtn twin. It is similar to the Foil from Salomon, but a little more...

All mountain/park ski: 08 line chronic or 08 4frnt tnk?

Here are my notes on what I demoed last year. I would get the Addict. 1) Salomon Dumont[/b] – 181 cm – close to center mount: The Dumont was a nice surprise. The ski has a lot of pop and snap. Skis backwards real nice and holds an edge pretty well, but can be pushed too far. It also gives...

Salomon Foil and other stuff for sale

A special note... I found some wide brakes (they are new) for the PX 12 Jib bindings, so they can be bought either normal or with a wide brake. http://cgi.ebay.com/2007-Look-PX-12-Jib-Ski-Bindings-NEW_W0QQitemZ320165160355QQihZ011QQcategoryZ21238QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem --rick

    Volkl Bridge?

I am 6'2" and 185. Here is what I wrote to our buyer from the demo last year about the Bridge. Volkl Bridge[/b] – 177 cm – midsole mount (back some): This replaces the Karma, but the Karma it is not. It is wider and felt softer. The Bridge was a fun 50-50 (park/mtn) ski. It skied switch...

How important is the shock absorber pad on Rossi Scratch/Look Jib bindings?

The shock absorbers can actually cause bindings to pull out easier. With no pad, the bindings don't move, the screws stay tight and everything is good. With elastic pads, the bindings actually move up and down on the ski a little bit. This adds extra force on the screws/core and can cause...

Salomon Foil and other stuff for sale

Being AK, they aren't very baggy (but they are very waterproof). I am 6'2" with a 33" inseam and I have no drag in the cuffs (that's why they are clean). The steeze comes from the color. --rick

07 Rossignol Scratch BC vs. 08 Rossignol Scratch Brigade

The Brigade is stiffer than last years BC. At least to me it skied stiffer. I did not like the BC, but I quite liked the Brigade. If I were wanting a one ski park/powder/all mtn ski, the Brigade would be high on the list. --rick

    Oakely Lens, Question

I like pink for cloudy days. The "ultimate" Oakley quiver would be: Sun: Black, Gold or Fire Clouds: Pink or G30 Dumping Snow/Night: Hi Yellow The new Oakley site has a little thing that lets you look at a picture through different lenses. It is actually fairly close to real life too...

An intellectual ski discussion. help me out!

If you can, get next years Scratch BC (called the Brigade). They stiffened it up so it rocks out of the powder. This years didn't ski very well on groomed stuff when I demoed it. Next years really rocks though. --rick

Traveling ski school for kids under 18 and in the TC

The D-Teams just compete together. Each ski school runs their own team. At Hyland the X-Team (what we call the D-Team cause it sounds cooler) is an introductory to high -mid level program. We actually feed quite a few boarders into the G-Team (snowboard version of Nybora). I look at it the...

Traveling ski school for kids under 18 and in the TC

I just thought I would let everyone about some other options in the TC area for getting better in the park. Blizzard is one traveling school; Skijammers is another (www.skijammers.com). Skijammers has had a park program (for both skiing and boarding) for four or five years now. We’ve got...
