if you can get your hands on a space heater that helps. Fire it up at 2 or 3 am to get toasty again. If you have a suburban and like 2 or 3 people it shouldn't be to bad. Battery powered heating pads for your back are awesome too. Good sleeping bag, as mentioned is most important.

don't listen while skiing to often but if I do it's usually Jets to Brazil for chill music. I love the Bouncing Souls, Rancid, Dropkick Murphy's, Jawbreaker, and other misc punk. Sometimes I change it up. But I probably only listen to music 10% of the time I ride anyway, like when I ski by...

look/rossi have a great retention system, but as i have mentioned in a diff thread, the pivots have a brake clip that can snap off pretty easy. Salomons are pretty good too. You just have to keep up with toe adjustments on the wing toe boots. When people don't keep those adjustments in check...
